Hilda Marin, Acting Principal. Born and raised on Caye Caulker.  Religious mission nun in the Pallottine Misionary Sisters for seven years.  Business Studies and Spanish teacher for five years at Pallotti and Muffles High Schools, Belize.  Five years experience as bank Manager for Atlantic Bank, Caye Caulker Branch and five years as bank manager in Freetown Branch, Belize City.  Owner of two businesses on Caye Caulker over the past twelve years.

 

Heidi Curry. Principal (maternity leave 2010), English Teacher. American with Belizean residency. Graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Texas at Austin with a B.A. in Humanities: Latin American Policy; Spanish; and Business. Managed government-audited consulting teams at ICF International, started businesses from the ground up, published articles, is a resident of Belize, and has a daughter who will be educated on the island.   

 

Joni Miller. Director of Fundraising and Community Programs. Computer and Aquatics Teacher. Canadian with Belizean residency. Earned a Masters in International Education from the University of Alberta, Canada (2005). 10 years high-school teaching experience in British Columbia, Canada; lecturer in sustainable development at Galen University, Belize; trained student teachers; led Canadian student volunteer groups throughout Latin America; edited Moon Handbook Belize 8th edition; and visited Belize for 10 years before building her home near the school.

 

Andy Marin. Math and Technical Drawing Teacher, Volleyball Coach. Born and raised on Caye Caulker. Graduated from primary school on Caye Caulker, high school in Belize City (St Johns College, Technical Science Major), and the University of Belize (Associates degree in Applied Science and Architectural Technology). Studied Civil Engineering for two years at Hostra University on Long Island, NY. Taught high-school Technical Drawing in Orange Walk, and Standard VI at CC Primary School. Certified by Olympics Committee as an international Volleyball Coach (2008).  

 

 

Sarah Requena. Integrated Science and Biology Teacher, Environmental Club. Canadian-Belizean. Caye Caulker Resident for 14 years. B.S. Nutritional Science. Caye Caulker Librarian. Has tutored at Caye Caulker Roman Catholic [Primary] School, and privately for more than 10 years. Mother of three children raised and educated on Caye Caulker. 

   

 

Marilyn Alarcon. Life Skills and Spirituality Teacher Aide; Office Administration. Belizean.  Sunday school teacher for 4 years, and substitute teacher for 3 years in Lucky Strike. 1 year of Business Studies. Moved to Caye Caulker, 2002, to work as the cashier and hostess at Rasta Pasta Restaurant.  Active member of the Caye Caulker Roman Catholic School Parent Association.  Co-organizer of Caye Caulker Carnival  

 

Destino Fuller. Social Studies Teacher. Belizean born. Saluditorian at a U.S. college-preparatory high school. Earned a B.A. Marketing from Loyola Marymount University on a full, four-year academic scholarship. Developed and ran an after-school program for students with learning disabilities. Pioneer Caye Caulker business owner and mother of four boys born, raised,and educated on Caye Caulker.  

 

Mario Sandoval Jr. Business and Spanish. Belizean.  Associate's degree in Accounting with minor in Economics from Belize Technical College.  Work experience in accounting and management for several companies, including Bowen & Bowen Crystal, Caye Caulker Water Taxi Association and International Merchant Marine Registry of Belize.

Allie Ilfield. Kayaking Coach.  Canadian with Belizean citizenship. Licensed Belize tour guide. Business owner of Toucan Canoes and Kayak Rentals, Caye Caulker.  Group Kayak Instructor and Tour Guide.  Licensed Boat Captain in “34 foot and under” category. Crew member with Raggamuffin Sailing Tours. Allie has 20 years experience as an international canoe racer, and competes in Belize’s 180-mile Ruta Maya canoe race.

 

 

Danny Reynolds. Basketball Coach. Belizean. In addition to three seasons as the shooting guard with Caye Caulker’s HTH, and numerous teams in Belize City, Danny currently plays with the San Pedro Seniors.      

 

 

Joseph Eiley. Adult Computer Instructor. Belizean. Lead BTL technician for Caye Caulker. Computer technician with Caye Connect Professional Technical Services, San Pedro. Member of Caye Caulker Village Council.

Scotty Poock. Guitar. American with Belizean Citizenship. 45 years experience as a professional guitar and bass player in USA. Owner of Bewado recording studio, Dayton, Ohio (1984-1992). Regular Friday- night gig at Oceanside, Caye Caulker, as well as numerous bookings in San Pedro, Belize (2000-present).  

 

Nidia Chacon. Marine Biology. Belizean. Marine Biologist with the Caye Caulker Marine Reserve and Ranger with the Department of Fisheries.

 

 

 

 

Alberto Villanueva Jr. Tourism Studies. Belizean, Caye Caulker born and raised. Member of the Marketing Advisory Committee for the Belize Tourism Board as well as a member of the Tour Operator’s Committee as the Minister’s Appointee in both instances. M.B.A., International Management, Valdosta State University, Georgia. Director of Belize Caye Investment Limited. Board member for Ocean Academy. Former Caye Caulker Village Chairman.
