Enelda Rosado. Principal, Caye Caulker Roman Catholic Primary School, (CCRCS), Justice of the Peace. Born and raised on Caye Caulker; attended CCRCS, and continued to high school in Belize City, at Belize Teachers College. Member of the Caye Caulker Village Council, and of the Caye Caulker Executive Committee. Ms. Rosado is considered the “head of Education” for Caye Caulker
Abel Novelo. Caye Caulker born and raised. Business Owner: Frenchie's Diving Services. Father of two. Born and raised on Caye Caulker. Attended CCRCS, and continued to high school in Belize City at St. John’s College. National chess player and chess coach.
Alberto Villanueva. Caye Caulker born and raised. Member of the Belize Tourism Board, and Businessman. M.B.A., International Management, Valdosta State University, Georgia, funded by International Student Scholarship. B.A., University College of Belize. Attended CCRCS, and continued to high school and Sixth Form in Belize City at St. John’s College. Professional experience includes: business lecturer at the University of Belize; San Pedro Town Administrator, and Caye Caulker Village Council Chairman. Mr. Villanueva guest lectures at Ocean Academy teaching tourism.
Noeli Kuylen. Caye Caulker born and raised. Business Owner: Rainbow Bar and Grill. Masters in Hospitality, B.A. in Business Administration and a B.A. in Hospitality from Florida International University. Attended CCRCS, and continued to high school in Belize City at St. Catherine’s, and Sixth Form at St. John’s College.
Ellen Armstrong. Owner Cayeboard Connection. Mother of two children educated on Caye Caulker; member of CCRCS Parent-Teacher Association. Computer technology technician for CCRCS and Ocean Academy. Tourist Officer for Caye Caulker Emergency Committee. Resident of Caye Caulker for 15 years.
Heidi Curry. Co-founder of Ocean Academy. Graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Texas at Austin with a B.A. in Humanities: Latin American Policy; Spanish; and Business. Managed government-audited consulting teams at ICF International; started businesses from the ground up; published articles. Resident of Belize, and has a daughter who will be educated on the island.
Joni Miller. Co-founder of Ocean Academy. Earned a Masters in International Education from the University of Alberta, Canada (2005). Taught ten years in a high-school in British Columbia, Canada; trained teachers; led Canadian student volunteer groups throughout Latin America; edited Moon Handbook Belize 8th edition. Resident of Belize.
Dane Dingerson. Co-founder of Ocean Academy Resident of Caye Caulker for 20 years. Donated the land for the school, and managed and financed the construction. Serves as CEO of Eden Isle Inc., Caye Caulker Real Estate, the Director of the Caye Caulker Conservancy, and manages the South Point Nature Reserve.
Joseph Fuller (2008-2009, former Chair). Belizean. Retired C.E.O. and Chair of the Board of Shell Belize Ltd. Belizean born. Graduated from and taught at St. John’s College in Belize City. Appointed Director of Belize Economic Citizenship Investment Programme (1994-1999), Chairman of the Board of Regents of the University of Belize (1998 - 1999) during its accreditation, and Member of the Board of Regents of St. John's College Sixth Form.
