Progress and timeline goals

February 2008:          

  • Survey of community interest and needs.
  • Identification of qualified teaching staff and interested volunteers.
  • Review of Belize Secondary Curriculum and Standards supplied by QUADS.
  • Receipt of land donation and pledge for schoolbuilding, chairs, desks, and personal computers.
  • Establishment of school tuition subsidy fund (initial pledges for eight students by individual private donors).  Solicitations will be ongoing throughout 2008.
  • Research for applicable grants.
  • Donation of textbook class sets from School District, 63 BC, Canada; Midway ISD, Waco, Texas; California; and McDougalLittell/ Holt McDougal textbook company.

March 2008:           

  • Submission of proposal to Belize Ministry of Education.
  • Establishment of links with CCRCS.
  • Website construction for fundraising and tuition support.
  • Begin school building construction.
  • Pre-registration of students.


Sept 2008:

  • Ministry of Education grants license
  • School commencement: “Bridge” Preparatory Class; First Form; and Second Form.
Sept 2009:         

  • Addition of Third Form and Professional Path.

Sept 2010:          

  • Addition of Fourth Form.
